Franciscan in Focus: Brother Richard Contino, OSF

 

Brother Richard Contino, OSF, has lived the Franciscan Life as a teacher and department chair in schools in North Carolina and in New York, as Postulancy and Novitiate Director, and he has ministered as a retreat leader, spiritual director, and has served on the General Council of the Franciscan Brothers.  Brother Richard is the author of three books and is currently the Regional Spiritual Assistant for the Secular Franciscans on Long Island. 

Since 1858, the Franciscan Brothers have continued to Make Christ Present by sowing seeds of Christian Consciousness and brotherhood. Brother Richard has done this through the Ministry of the Word, bringing the Good News of Jesus to all by teaching, leading days of recollection, retreats, spiritual direction, and his writing.  Brother is truly Making Christ Present!
